Juanjo, Juan José Carricondo Pérez
The driving force behind The Barcelona Experience Football Camp and the Grassroots Cup 2026 is Juan José Carricondo Pérez, known to many as Juanjo. A product of the legendary La Masia academy, Juanjo broke through into FC Barcelona's first team, training and playing alongside footballing legends like Pep Guardiola, Romário, Hristo Stoichkov, Xavi, and Carles Puyol. His playing career took him wherever the game called, from Spain to Scotland and England, giving him a unique perspective on player development at every level.
Now, as Sporting Director at UE Mollet FC, Juanjo draws on his wealth of knowledge to inspire the next generation of young footballers taking part in our youth football tours to Barcelona. His dedication to grassroots football development abroad ensures every team enjoys a professionally organised, authentic, and enriching football experience, where learning and enjoyment are at the forefront.

Age Classes
- B13: Born on or after 1st January 2013
- B14: Born on or after 1st January 2014
- B15: Born on or after 1st January 2015
- B16: Born on or after 1st January 2016
- B17: Born on or after 1st January 2017
- B18: Born on or after 1st January 2018
To accommodate the school systems in England and Wales, we also offer special dispensation: players born between September and December of the previous year may take part within their age group in any game.
Games
- All games will be 7 v 7
- All teams guarenteed a minimum 4 games
- The top 2 teams in each group will qualify for the cup semi finals.
- The bottom 2 teams in each group will qualify for the plate semi finals.

Airport transfer to hotel and hotel check in.
Wednesday
Barcelona Experience Grassroots Cup commences with group games.
Thursday
Play-off games and finals followed by trophy presentations.
Friday
Check out of hotel. Transfer to airport for departure.
